The wife of former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, she was elected to Lok Sabha for the first time in 1999 and then in 2004. Known as the Maharani of Patiala, Kaur is the daughter of former Punjab Chief Minister Gyan Singh Kahlon.
